What obstacle can really hold you back?
Terry Fox is an incredible young man. He learned at a young age that he had cancer and lost his right leg immediately. Undeterred, he chose to make a difference and to do something truly wonderful with what he had.
Incredibly, his choice as an amputee was to run a marathon across all of Canada to raise funding for cancer research. His heroic act galvanized and encouraged a proud nation.
Terry’s bold example encourages all to reach for the stars, use what we have and to take action today. Seeing his courage will lift your spirits, make your challenges look smaller and grow your determination to a new level. Enjoy.
When you see how one determined young man impacted an entire nation, you begin to sense a feeling that you know that you can change your life. Cool how that works…
To date, over $550 million has been raised worldwide for cancer research in Terry’s name through the annual Terry Fox Run, held across Canada and around the world.
Terry’s life demonstrated how not just he but how you can make a difference in the world. You truly matter.

Thanks for sharing such a wonderful video in your blog. It really touched my heart. Believe me tears fell from my eyes when I was watching him to run. But I think everyone of us should take a lesson from him. His passion and determination is really encouraging and now I think whatever problem I have in my life is nothing. Terry Fox is a real hero.
God, I have no excuse. None whatsoever. But I make so many everyday.
I told myself I wasn’t going to cry, but my eyes started welling up when he walked into the stadium and people were on their feet clapping for him.
What an incredible show of human spirit. His determination is an example of what’s possible in us all.
RIP, Terry.
There’s not a lot we can take with us when we die, but there’s a lot we can leave behind. What we leave behind is of our own choosing and is part of what our lives are about – I think it’s one of the reasons why we’re here. I believe that…and I’m reminded of it watching the video about this beautiful young man, Terry. He left a legacy, an energy that helped and continues to help others.
